Mole Valley Green Burial Ground, North Devon
A natural unspoiled peaceful resting place for your loved ones
Our Service
Our service is to provide the plot for the burial, plant a tree and the ongoing management of the Burial Ground. Families can undertake all the other arrangements for the burial themselves if they wish, guidance on this can be found on the Natural Death Centre website http://www.naturaldeath.org.uk/ or alternatively use the services of a Funeral Director.
You may like to organise a celebrant to speak at the burial or for it to be just family and friends present, it is completely your choice.
With regard to grave digging we and the Funeral Director (if used) will liaise directly with the grave digger to arrange this.
We do not have any shelters for inclement weather but you are welcome to erect your own Gazebo Tent /Canopy if you wish for the duration of the burial. Only biodegradable coffins, urns or shrouds are permitted and the deceased must not be embalmed. Headstones, or any other memorials are not permitted. The only exception is that if you wish we can provide a simple biodegradable Oak Plaque, laser engraved with your loved one’s name and birth and death dates which must lay flush on the ground.
